Evolution and spiritual growth guide my thoughts and actions.

Not always in a mindful fashion

But this passion 

This need 

To feed

My soul 

While taking heed

Of all that I cannot control

That fear, it tries

To cripple me.

At first I wanted my growth to mirror that of others

Even though determined, 

I was still missing the mark.

The spiritual journey on which I embarked

Is more about me than I realized.

In fact I didn’t like it at first. 

I started healing for many reasons:

I was hurt

I was tired

I felt very alone.

I felt invisible and misunderstood.

And dancing to and fro

Teetering the lines of

Seeking validation

Seeing the things that I still avoid

Along with the things I must stay away from

It’s like: 

“Damn, when will my healing be done?”

Thought provoking questions

Reflections 

But until I know how to place my own needs first

To allow this consistent growth 

This oath that I made a long time ago

I have been saying the same things,

You know?

But until words are met with consistent action

Who am I but just another hypocrite?
